Social Media Pitfalls

The Snakes and Ladders of Social Media Course Overview

Social Media is a remarkable phenomenon that has opened up communication between people in a way that could not have been envisaged as little as ten years ago. Access to information, sharing this information and communication have exploded in ways that continue to develop. However, with this wonderful new tool come risks.

The course examines the proliferation of social media, the extent of which poses the very risks raised above. No course on Social Media should be tackled without some insights into the differences between the previous generations and the digital native. In this course, we examine how to use the media in a manner that is responsible and protects yourself and others from the trouble you can get into when unaware. Trouble which can not only lead to you being sued, but worse, can leave your reputation in ruins and your life altered forever.
